Who's that girl?... Well she looks like a model to me

A couple of months ago J Crew features "real guys" in their catalog styling various jcrew looks. Now we were kinda ticked off about this because they did not do a similar womens feature. So, my compatriot, being the motivated individual that she is, decided to write to J Crew expressing her disappointment. Not only did they respond but they informed her that they were currently working on a similar photoshoot with real women. Well cut to three months later and *tada* there is the J Crew catalog in my mailbox with "Who's that Girl?" scrawled in big block letters on the cover along with the pictures of 9 "real women." Now J Crew says these are 9 women that "inspire them." I find it ironic that out of the nine women who "inspire them" 8 of them must be a size 2 or lower. The one "larger" women is pregnant. PREGNANT. apparently pregnant is the new plus size model these days. Not only are these women tiny they have model-worthy looks. if J Crew had not informed me that these ladies were "real women" I would never have known (except for maybe one who looks a little old..) Annnnnyywaaayyys, J Crew if this was your attempt to feature real women all I can say is

FAIL

and so far I haven't been impressed with the spring line.


I swear I'm not the bitter one..
